The IndyCar Monterey Grand Prix race will take place at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Monterey, California. After a 15-year gap, the competition will come back this year as part of the IndyCar Series by replacing Sonoma Indycar. The IndyCar Grand Prix of Monterey is called the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey because sponsorship agreement, which is a 2-year contract from 2023-2024. The competition returned in 1960 and in 1983 it played as the American open-wheel race. From 1983 -2004 the race was part of the CART/Champ Car series.
