The IndyCar series is the north American racing series of single-seater open-wheel formula one car. The Indycar series is also known as the NTT Indycar series because of sponsorship reasons, NTT stands for Nippon telegraph and telephone, a Japanese-based telecommunication company that is the title sponsor for the IndyCar racing series.
Indycar is organized by INDYCAR LLC, an American-based organization created in 1994.

History of IndyCar
The first IndyCar series was held in 1996 at Walt Disney world speedway in lake Buena Vista, Florida; it was called the Indy racing league, and the name IndyCar was endorsed in 2003.

Race Overview
In the IndyCar race, single-seat open-cockpit formula one car equipped with a 2.2-liter turbocharged V6 engine is used, which produces approximately 500-700 horsepower.
The race is performed on asphalt-paved oval-shaped purpose-built circuits that are oval in shape. 
The previous IndyCar championship was won by William steven power held in February 2022.

Indycar race pointing system
Like any other motorsport, the champion of IndyCar is also determined by the points earned by the driver. The winner of the race is awarded 50 points.

When is the next IndyCar series?
The upcoming 112th championship IndyCar series is going to take place in the United States, starting on March 05, 2023, and will come to an end on September 10, 2023.
